TET Fund is Offering a Pro Tools Class
Dear Brothers & Sisters,
The TET Fund, along with your Executive Board, has a very special opportunity to offer you this spring.
Brother / Professional Sound Designer Andrew Keister will be instructing us on Pro Tools. Andrew has designed and or co-designed many of Broadway’s biggest hits. He has extensive knowledge of the Pro Tools software, and has offered his services to train our people on the program.
Pro Tools is a digital audio workstation developed and released by Avid Technology for the Microsoft Windows and OS X operating systems, which can be used for a wide range of sound recording and sound production purposes.
Andrew will be teaching from version 12.5 (12.7 is the most current version, but it has some bugs in it), but most everything that is being taught is in versions 10 and 11 as well, so anyone with software that is a few years old won’t have a problem. Please have a laptop and a copy of Pro Tools installed. There is a demo of the program available for people who don’t own it, but they need an iLok usb security key and account to get the demo working -and the keys cost $50. This will be your course deposit; only the attendees of the class will be refunded the security key costs. Please bring the receipt with you to the course for refunds.
This course comes with ETCP renewable credits
This two-day class will be held on March 8th and 9th.
The class location will be 545 West 45th Street in the Wardrobe Union, IATSE- Local 764.
