April 13, 2020

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Good rainy day this Monday, April 13th. Today is the 28th day since the Local One office and Trust Fund office closed due to the pandemic and all Officers and Staff Members began working remotely on computers and telephones. While accomplishing work via emails, texts, phone calls, conference calls and zoom meetings is going well, it is not the same as face-to-face meetings. We miss you all and thank you for your participation, patience and understanding.

During the next week or so you will be receiving email blasts of new information in regard to the pandemic that will hopefully be of assistance to you and your families. In addition, I will be re-blasting some information to ensure that you stay connected to your Union. The first Local One email blast about COVID – 19 was sent on March 9th with some basic information about the virus which is still relevant today: Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds; avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth; cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then dispose of the tissue in the trash and practice social distancing of at least six feet from other individuals. It has since been recommended to wear a mask covering your nose and mouth if you need to go out to do essential tasks such as grocery shopping or to pick up medicine.

Stay safe, Brothers and Sisters. Stay home. Stay healthy. Stay connected.

Your Executive Board, Officers and Staff send you our best wishes.

Fraternally & sincerely,
Robert C. Score
Recording-Corresponding Secretary
