Howard “Hook” Weinberg

Dear Brothers, Sisters, Kith and Kin,
It is with a deep sense of sadness and regret that I must report to you the passing of our 37-year member Brother Howard “Hook” Weinberg on August 6, 2021.
Brother Howard worked throughout the jurisdiction most notably at NBC, Loving, Late Night with David Letterman, The Thanksgiving Day Parade, Miss Universe Pageant and over 500 Saturday Night Live episodes.
He was born on March 21,1941 and initiated into Local One on January 22, 1984.
We thank our Brother Howard for his service in the US Army from 1959-1962, where he was stationed in Korea.
Howard and his wife Donna donated and volunteered much of their time at Grand Strand Miracle League, founded in Myrtle Beach in 2001, The Miracle League became the second all-access baseball league in the nation, providing sports for special needs children.
He is survived by his wife and love of his life Donna, his nephew Charlie Rogers and his wife Mary and his niece Gail McCory and her husband Jimmy.
Sunday, September 12, 2021 from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Sands Ocean Club, 9550 Shore Drive, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572. SAY GOODBYE TO HOLLYWOOD- Part 1: Celebration of his remarkable & meaningful life. Please dress in your best “Hollywood Howie” style, use the full box of crayons. Howie livid his life in vivid and vibrant color. “HIS” wishes were to be celebrated in that very same way! (Please do not wear black) - live music, drinks, nibbles and a few Hollywood Howie surprises!
Monday, September 13, 2021 at 4:00 p.m., HOLLYWOOD HOWIE MEMORIAL SERVICE “The Final Farewell” at Grand Strand Miracle League Field, 690 33rd Avenue North, Myrtle Beach, SC. 29572.
In lieu of flowers Brother Howard has asked for donations to be made to Grand Strand Miracle League, one of the most special places in his heart ❤️
