Dear Brothers, Sisters, Kith and Kin,
It is with a deep sense of sadness and regret that I must report to you the passing of our Retired 67-year Member Brother Harold Rice on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. 
Brother Harold worked throughout the jurisdiction, most notably at CBS Television with the Soap Operas; The Edge of Night, The Guiding Light and As The World Turns. Brother Harold also worked on Good Morning America at ABC Television.
He was a spotlight operator for over 50years at Madison Square Garden, working the Barnum & Bailey Circus and numerous Ice Shows. Brother Harold’s claim to fame as a Local One Brother according to family, was working the original production of Westside Story in 1957.
He was born on January 14, 1930 and initiated into Local One on November 11, 1954.
We thank Brother Harold for his service to his country as an aviation mechanic in the U.S. Navy from 1948 to 1952.
He was pre-deceased by his wife of 59-years Frances, his son Fred Rice, his grandfather Local One Brother Joseph Rice and his father Local One Brother Norbert Luke Rice, and his sisters Norma and Ruth.  He is survived by his children, sons Eric and Harold Rice, his daughters Margaret Healy and Karen Milano, his six grandchildren, Emilie and Genevieve Milano, Eric, Peter and Laura Healy and his grandson Daniel Rice.

Brother Harold will be missed by family and friends alike. May his soul Rest in Peace.
