Dear Brothers and Sisters,
It is with a deep sense of sadness that I must report to you the passing of our 70-year retired Brother Eugene P. Travers on May 2, 2019.  Brother Travers worked throughout the jurisdiction most notably at CBS Studio 46.  He started his career working at Nolan’s Carpentry Shop.  Brother Travers worked with his father Local One member James Travers at the Maxine Elliott’s Theatre. He worked the Golden Age of TV with stars such as Ed Sullivan (where he worked the first night the Beatles performed in the U.S.A.), Jackie Gleason, Garry Moore and Carol Burnett.  Brother Travers greatly appreciated all the things Local One has done for him and his family.  He was born in 1922 and was initiated into Local One in 1949.   He will be missed by family and friends alike.  May he rest in peace.
