Leon Stieb

Dear Brothers, Sisters, Kith and Kin,
It is with a deep sense of sadness and regret that I must report to you the passing of our Retired 56-year Member Brother Leon Stieb on June 29, 2021. 
Brother Leon place 4th on the first Local One Apprentice Test and served his apprenticeship at Masque Sound.  Brother Stieb’s career spanned from the original production of Fiddler on the Roof through the last production of Les Miz.  Most notably, Leon collaborated on the design and programmed the multi-media video projections for the Broadway musical “Beatlemania” and Harry Chaplin’s “The Night that Made America Famous” productions.
He was drafted and served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army and we thank him for his service.
He was born on April 24, 1947 and initiated into Local One September 23, 1965.
Brother Leon was pre-deceased by his wife Alex and is survived by his brothers Alan, Gale and their wives, his sister-in-law Jessie Bond, her husband Ray Glier, many nieces and nephews and numerous family in Local One, notably Business Manager Kevin McGarty and the McGarty Family.

Brother Leon will be missed by family and friends alike. May his soul Rest in Peace.
