Dear Friends,
In 2021, it is up to all of us to ensure the City recovers from COVID-19 stronger than before. The vaccine is an important tool to protect New Yorkers from the COVID-19 virus and finally bring about an end to this pandemic in our City. Vaccines are safe and the COVID-19 vaccines have been shown to be safe as well. We are committed to ensuring that all New Yorkers can access these free, safe, and easy vaccines.

Right now, while there is limited supply of the vaccine, distribution is being phased based on risk categories established by the federal and state guidance. Starting today, the Governor announced that individuals aged 65 and older, certain workers, and people with certain underlying conditions are eligible to get the vaccine. Please continue to check the State's website for the full list of eligible groups.

Eligible New Yorkers can find locations near them and make appointments online at or by calling 877-VAX4NYC for assistance in multiple languages. Because the supply of vaccine is very limited and will fluctuate daily, appointments will be given based on availability. Additional sites are coming online every day, and we encourage all to check the website regularly or call the City's hotline.

Remember, with rising cases and hospitalizations, we must also remain vigilant and continue practicing the strategies we know work to stop the spread of COVID-19:
       •  Stay home, especially if you are sick or recently tested positive for COVID-19, were exposed to someone with COVID-19, or traveled.
      •   Wash your hands and use hand sanitizer often
      •   Wear a face covering whenever you’re not at home (indoors and outdoors)
      •   Remain six feet apart from others
      •   Get tested
And don't forget to spread the word!

      •   Share the City's COVID-19 vaccine website:
      •   Share the COVID-19 Vaccine Factsheet
      •   Share the flyer for posting
      •   Promote the finder and assistance number - 877-VAX4NYC
      •   Use the VCC social media kit and the hashtags #NYCVaccineForAll and #IGotTheShotNYC (when you get it) to help spread the word
Thank you for your partnership in helping us stop COVID-19 in its tracks!

Stay safe and NYC strong,

Anne del Castillo
