JOB DESCRIPTION:   Stage Technicians

 

 

Sands College of Performing Arts at Pace University has part-time openings for stage technicians.   Required work will include: load in/strike, operations and maintenance of scenic, lighting and sound components in accordance with professional standards. The above-mentioned work will be conducted in BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center (TPAC). Technicians will operate under the supervision of the Sands College of Performing Arts Technical Director and/or other designated Production Staff. Technical staff at TPAC will also be on hand as supervisors. 

·         The work call dates are October 23, 2023 through December 11, 2023. The call schedule includes five (5) days off, from November 22, 2023 through November 26, 2023, for Thanksgiving Break.

·         Employment must be accepted for all scheduled days. Scheduled hours will include a mix of days, nights and weekends and can be viewed HERE.

·         The hourly pay is $32.37

The ability to work with a diverse group of people is essential. The ideal candidate will have experience in a university theater setting and a willingness to support student theatre and dance productions, student designers and student crews. 

 

Required qualifications: 

·         Undergraduate degree in Theatre

·         Minimum of 3-5 years of professional production experience

·         ETCP rigging certification

Bargaining unit employees engaged by Pace University and temporarily working in the BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center (TPAC), while the Schimmel Theatre replacement is under construction, shall be subject to the terms of the active collective bargaining agreement between Pace University and Local One, IATSE.
